Call for Paper

The Healthcare Academic Day aims to provide researchers from different fields (engineers, managers, clinicians) with an opportunity to exchange information and new ideas, and to discuss new developments in the many fields of Healthcare.

The Healthcare Academic Day will cover all topics related to state-of-the-art technological developments and their application in healthcare, including (but not limited to) the following:

• Disruptive technologies in healthcare: IoT, telemedicine, digital twins, machine learning, data analytics for healthcare;

• Operations research in healthcare: modeling and simulation of patient flows, healthcare resource scheduling, planning and optimization;

• Personalized medicine: genomics, disease management.

The Healthcare Academic Day will be held at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), located in the charming neighborhood of Gávea.

Abstract Submission Deadline: April 3rd, 2020

Decision Notification: May 8th, 2020

Registration Site Opens: May 9th, 2020

Registration Site Closes: June 21st, 2020

Submission Format:

Each submitted paper is to be at leat 1000 words; 2000 max.

Selected abstracts may be eligible for fast track publication in the LATIN AMERICAN BUSINESS REVIEW (https://www.tandfonline.com/loi/wlab20).
